We are very pleased to be opening for UK legends The Mission this month, on the band's New Zealand tourdates during their 30th Anniversary World Tour.
It's been 26 years since The Mission last visited New Zealand in 1990. The original line-up's first three albums - God's Own Medicine (1986), Children (1988) and Carved In Sand (1990) - had a direct and lasting influence on Disjecta Membra's music; still evident even in some of our newest material.
Naturally then, we're doubly pleased to be playing support to the original nucleus of Wayne Hussey, Simon Hinkler and Craig Adams, along with 'new' (five years and counting) drummer Mike Kelly.
We play with The Mission at Bodega in Wellington on Friday 18 November 2016, and at the Powerstation in Auckland the following night. These are the final two shows of The Mission's entire 30th Anniversary World Tour, and bound to be a blast.
